Charms Hotel Shanghai

Overall, we found this place to be reasonably priced and up to a good standard. Our stay here was quite enjoyable, although our rooms didn't have a window or proper ventilation. But aside from that, everything else was pretty solid. 👍

i've had a very good stay at charms. fairly clean hotel, enjoyed to be just off particularly around the elevators and nanjing pedestrian street which is very convenient thanks to great location. i booked reasonably large room for a third bed.

Location is excellent and room rate was competitive for central Shanghai.

Check in was very slow ( 20:00 hrs on Fri.21st May ) & a bit cold but courteous. The room facing the main street was noisy at all times .

This place boasts a convenient location with private parking, excellent service within a short distance from the airport, and exceptional, tasty food.

no charm at all, terrible lifts. expensive price given the quality, but somehow balanced by the location.

The best thing about this hotel was location, right by Nanjing Road.

We did not enjoy breakfast, service was poor. Not very clean either, only had breakfast one morning, the rest went elsewhere. Not very good at speaking English in hotel. We only stayed here fot 3nights, too long!

The room is compact yet functional with nearly all the amenities you need, and the fantastic location is close to the First Department Store.

Good location as it is just next road to Nanjing Road which is good for shopping. Easy access to the subways which are 5-7 minutes walk. Good selection on the buffet breakfast.

The beds are hard as a rock and pillows soft as feather but that is typical of a lot of hotels in China. Based on my experience I would recommend this hotel if one likes to go shopping & the price is reasonable.

Easy access to Nanjing Road shopping area just few second and the bund just 2min. Good for the shopper and person whose looking for cheap and fair service in the city area. Free Internet access.

charms hotel was a great choice for my stay in shanghai! the concierge staff were helpful and dealt with different languages. the location was convenient, close to sightseeing tours and museums. they even went above and beyond by bringing me my forgotten bag at the airport. fantastic view too!

Poor quality pillows, mattress, and towels.

My room was very comfortable by Chinese standards.. Okay, the carpet was torn, but what do you use a carpet for anyway except to walk on? Certainly not a deal breaker at this price. Breakfast was very good and the location is excellent. One block from Nanjing Road, three blocks from People's Square and perhaps two blocks more to the Museum, and about a half mile to the riverfront. And close to two subway stations. About a one hour trip via subway or Maglev/subway to Pudong Airport.

Everything is EXCELLENT, the room is reasonably sized with a very good ambience, toiletries. The breakfast choices are good with a "acquired" taste, western dishes and chinese food.

The hotel was clean and had good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great, with easy access to the subway and close to popular tourist sites.

Nothing to dislike - it was a fantastic stay.

Front office is courtesy. Attendant service is fair. Generally the breakfast is not up to expectations.
